Skills & Experience

Who I am, what I could do for you.

About Me

My interests are equally broad, with a love of sport, music, science and everything in between. I love to get out and about, whether it’s hiking in the mountains, going to concerts or catching up with friends at a pub quiz.

Why Choose Me?

01

Technical Expertise

As a career-long freelancer, I’ve worked across a wide variety of TV genres and job roles, giving me diverse technical experience. Whether it’s building a sequence from scratch with a single camera or focusing on specific tasks in large-scale sports events, I adapt to each project with ease.

I’m comfortable working with both small and large crews, and beyond camera operating, I’ve developed skills in lighting, sound, and various on-set roles to ensure smooth production. My hands-on experience includes roles such as camera tech, minicam operator, editor, lighting assistant, DIT, and even runner during my early career.

02

Editorial Sensitivity

While I’m passionate about camerawork, I also value my role within
the wider production team. I maintain a broad perspective on every project,
striving to understand and empathise with the work of those around me. This
helps me collaborate effectively and contribute to the team’s success.

I take a genuine interest in the subject matter I’m filming,
allowing me to make thoughtful shot choices that enhance storytelling while
being sensitive to the talent and contributors involved.

03

Reliable, Resourceful and a Problem Solver

Operating the camera is often the final 10% of the job—the icing on
the cake. Before that, it’s about ensuring all the logistics are in place:
being in the right location, having the right equipment, and fully
understanding the brief. I prioritize getting these details sorted, so my full
focus is on the shoot.

Adaptability and problem-solving are strengths I bring to every
project. Every shoot presents unexpected challenges, and I’m always prepared to
overcome obstacles and ensure we capture everything needed to finish the
project successfully.

04

Personable: Approachable and Team Orientated

A production runs best when the crew works as a team, and I understand the importance of collaboration. I believe every role on set is equally valuable, and I make it a priority to be polite, friendly, and approachable with everyone I work with.

I have also often been described by colleagues as incredibly calm under pressure,
which I always think of as a great compliment.

05

Artistic: But does it look good?

Ultimately, camera work is about delivering a stunning final product. Whether covering an election count or shooting a promotional film for a new product launch, I bring the same effort and creative eye to every project. I thrive on the challenge of maximizing creativity in every scenario, transforming everyday settings into captivating visuals that engage and entertain the audience.
